Pull up a chair. It's Thursday.
Wellington's club night has been running long enough that some of our trophies predate our youngest members. Turn up, find a board — there's almost always an informal game going alongside whatever tournament is in progress, and nobody will ask if you've booked.
You don't need an invitation
Casual visitors and new members are welcome every week — here's exactly what to expect so the first visit doesn't feel like walking into someone else's club night.
Just show up
Any Thursday from 7:30pm. No booking, no email required — say hello at the door.
Find a board
Most nights run a scheduled tournament round, but there's nearly always an informal game free for visitors to join.
Join when you're ready
Come a few times first if you like. Membership and subs only matter once you've decided this is your Thursday now.
Fifteen years of club history, kept properly
